Western Hills

33.0 mi, 3,744' elev, starts at Denny’s, 1230 Gail Gardner Way

This ride features a set of hill climbs west of downtown Prescott. The climbs include Granite Basin, Iron Springs Road, Skyline Drive and Thumb Butte Road. This ride offers both challenging climbs and killer descents! There are no services on this route.

Wilhoit
30.7 mi, 2,977' elev, starts at Safeway, 450 White Spar Road

This out and back ride goes south on White Spar Road to the town of Wilhoit. This ride features switchbacks on mountain roads, scenic views and several 3 to 4 mile climbs. The turnaround point is the Country Corner store in Wilihoit, which is the only water/bathroom option in town.

Skull Valley Loop

53.0 mi, 3,817' elev, starts at downtown Courthouse Square

This classic local ride takes you west from Prescott over Iron Springs Pass through the towns of Skull Valley and Kirkland before looping you back around to Prescott via White Spar Road. The ride features long climbs and long descents with scenic views. Bring plenty of water and snacks, the only services on this route are in Wilhoit.

Walker Road and Lynx Lake

20.6 mi, 1,973' elev, starts at Panera, Bread 3065 Gateway Blvd

This ride is primarily an out-and-back route, but it includes a loop around Lynx Lake. The ride features the long climb up Walker Road followed by a descent back into town. The route is nicely shaded and is somewhat sheltered from the wind on windy days. The turnaround is at the end of the pavement at the top of Walker Road.

Sierra Prieta/Wolf Creek

34.7 mi, 3,596' elev, starts at Park Plaza, 402 W Goodwin Street

This ride features two stretches of gravel roads connected by sections of paved roads. The route features two climbs through the Sierra Prieta mountains to the West of Prescott and includes an especially beautiful viewpoint of the Skull Valley area at the top of one of the climbs.

Skull Valley Loop in Reverse

53.5 mi, 4,214' elev, starts at Safeway, 450 White Spar Road

This clockwise edition of the SVL takes you south on White Spar Road beyond the town of Wilhoit before looping you back around to Prescott via Kirkland, Skull Valley and Iron Springs Road. The ride features the 12 mile climb up Iron Springs Pass from the west, and therefore might not be the best route choice in hot weather. Bring plenty of water and snacks, the only services on this route are in Wilhoit.

Yuma Rollers Short Version

10.8 mi, 451' elev, starts at Memory Park, 1020 Palomino Road, Chino Valley

This mostly flat ride starts in the town of Chino Valley. You’ll pedal along scenic ranch land before riding the Yuma Rollers on Yuma Road.

Chino/Yuma Rollers

38.2 mi, 1,914' elev, starts at Fry’s, 3198 Willow Creek Road

This mostly flat ride heads north from Prescott through the town of Chino Valley along scenic ranch land before riding the Yuma Rollers on Yuma Road and returning to Prescott.

Coyote Springs

17.7 mi, 451 elev, starts at Viewpoint Park, 7301 E Park Ridge Drive, Prescott Valley

This mostly flat ride is an out and back from Viewpoint Park in Prescott Valley to the end of the end of Coyote Springs Road. It features scenic views of grasslands and mountains.

Williamson Valley Rd/Fair Oaks/Tonto

36.1 mi, 1,912' elev, starts at Old Stage Stop, 4155 Outer Loop Road

This ride features rolling hills with scenic vistas through ranch land north of Prescott. The route is relatively flat and has no long climbs. There are no services on this route, but you can get water at the Williamson Valley fire station at mile marker 16 of Williamson Valley Road.

Big Bug Mesa

25.6 mi, 2,747' elev, starts at Pet Smart, 277 Walker Road

This out and back ride is essentially one long climb, starting on pavement and ending on gravel roads. The route features beautiful long vistas in several directions. The route turns around at Big Bug Mesa at the top of the climb and then descends back into town.

Camp Wood

31.0 mi, 2,374' elev, starts at end of the pavement on Williamson Valley Road

This out and back ride is entirely on gravel. The route rolls through ranch land before climbing for about six miles up to Camp Wood at the corner of FR 95A, aka Walnut Creek Road.

Cherry Creek

32.0 mi, 3,418' elev, starts at West Cherry Creek Road and FR 96

This out and back ride starts with a short climb on paved road before turning to gravel. The route rides through the town of Cherry before a long descent down to Camp Verde with scenic views. This surface on this gravel road is as smooth as you’ll ever get.
