Annual Club Events
Some of our annual “Adventure Rides” take in both new and familiar locales
Once a year, usually summer, Bike Prescott members embark on an epic, multi-day ride. Previous rides have toured the California coastline, Colorado (including several national parks and beautiful mountain passes). One ride saw several hardy Bike Prescott members climbing Mont Ventoux of Tour de France fame!
Poker Ride
-
Spring brings on this fun event that usually begins and ends at the Thumb Butte Pavilion.
-
This ride that hovers around 25 miles is relatively flat (for Prescott). Riders stop to pick cards at regrouping points for the best poker hand.
-
Winners get prizes and everyone gets a cookout/potluck lunch.
End-of-the-Road Ride: 40 miles/4000’ elevation gain
-
Another annual favorite takes you to the end of several local roads (the end means “up”).
-
We start and finish in Prescott. The ride consists of five climbs: Skyline Drive to the end of the pavement, Thumb Butte to the White Rock trailhead, Copper Basin Road to the end of the pavement, Ponderosa Park to the end of the pavement, an City Lights.
